my grandfather was in rail road before i was born after serving world war 2 for many years this and another lamp was saved and passed to my father then he passed away 6 yrs serving miltary for 28 yrs had problems with diabities and heart from agent orange ago and now its mine thank you for viewing. if any one could tell me a little about this would be great than you

This is a car inspector's lamp. "Car knockers" checked journal boxes, couplers, brake hoses, wheels, etc. for maintenance issues.

Are there any RR initials on the handle top? Increases value if there are. Needs serious restoration but looks solid.
