    I picked this up at a yard sale and have no idea what it is. It was made by Jenkel-Davidson Opticians. The metal cylinder will freely spin and you can hold the wood handle. What is it?

      Google them, seems they are still in business. I see they were a school for Opticians as well. They mightn have more info on this than anyone here, never hurts to ask them.
