This large, chunky brooch is clearly marked “Regency” and though the earrings are not also marked I know this does not mean they are not a set. My first question is this; Can I refer to the set as a ‘Demi Parure’? My second question has more to do with identifying a current retail value. I photographed the jewelry with a standard penny as a size reference and also included a profile shot as the pieces are chunky/ large. All three pieces are in excellent condition- no missing stones, scratches, etc Even the gold-toned metal has very little signs of wear. I’m trying to ID if this style/collection had a name and if so when it was most likely manufacturered. If anyone can offer me any insight into the quality that would be associated with this brand or any other helpful info I’d be so appreciative! Thank you!

Dizzydave!!! Dude! ( or do you prefer sir?)you have no idea how excited I am to hear from you again.
?YAY!?I am so new to the sight that I couldn’t figure out how to reconnect after CW gave me a virtual spanking for breaking a rule I didn’t know I was breaking. Any ways- always looking forward I find this website so valuable so I’ve carried on using the sight and have tried to better inform myself about the do’s and dont’s so I don’t intentually nor unintentionally break any rules that would flag me and lead to what would be a huge loss if a community who has been so kind and generous with me. I will check out your links ASAP- thank you so much! Wether or not this was a “good find” remains to be seen. It took about an hour of my time but I managed to find the pair of earrings, (which had been accidentally split up) in a .25/cent bin and paid $5.95 for the brooch,(which was way more than I’d usually spend on a brooch)but with the earring set reunited something told me to go ahead and take the gamble. So- if u wouldn’t mind- maybe YOU could tell ME if it was worth the time/effort/$investment? I don’t have any other pieces (yet) with this marking but I’ll be you know plenty ????

Woe!!! (I didn’t realize your suggested link would include EVERYTHING I wanted to know! Holy moley! I’m so excited and appreciative that you are so generous about sharing your resources! So/ if I’m reading your link it looks like I can reasonably ask close to $150 for this set?!!!! Jackpot!
Not sure if you remember some of my earliest posts on CW under unsolved mysteries but I’ve learned and grown so much in such a short time thanks to my participation here and everyone who has been so generous with their time. Many heartfelt thanks!

Hey wait; I am rereading that info again...am I correct that it’s a reference for just the brooch not including the earrings? I hope my apprentice/entry level knowledge on how to research such things on my own isn’t annoying or too demanding of your time but may I ask if you know about the earrings too and if so what it would mean to the value of the set? I am so excited to know!

Good to hear from You!! lol I would say earrings are at least 3/4 the value of the brooch.
