A item found amongst sewing materials, it is made of ‘ivory’ (Resin I think) and would be Victorian or turn of the century. It has Patent stamped on the base, but no number or makers name.
I have no idea what it is!

The base is very clean with no signs of wear, with PATENTstamped on it.

    Unsolved Mystery

      maybe darning mushroom???
    2. Addis22, 5 years ago
I don’t think it’s a darning mushroom as it is concave not convex, although that was my first thought. I didn’t put the measurements either - the head is 2” by 1.5”

Is the bottom of the "stem" flat or concave? Any signs of wear on the bottom of the stem? Could you post pictures of the bottom? Thanks!

You may have a "tack pusher" used in upholstery.
Check to see if the little circular part on the bottom on the "stem" is magnetic.

No magnet in the stem. Difficult to decide as I don’t think it has ever been used.
