Seem there is no interest or value in old cradles so I was considering 're-purposing' it. Maybe make wall hangings out of the ends to display the dovetail joints and the rest could be used for shelving and/or a top for a small stand or something similar. This goes against my antique appreciation values but if no one values it as a cradle maybe it can me made into something to help it live on in another form.
I talked to several local auction houses and they confirmed the lack on interest in old cradles. Makes no sense to me but I guess that's the way it is.
Thoughts?
Sad once it's gone it ain't coming back!!
With all the doll collectors out there you think it would have more interest.
I wish I had a big one to rock me to sleep!!!
