We were given this old electric Singer Sewing machine. The motor still works. It has an old leather belt that isn't in great shape. We don't know anything about this particular model. Can anyone identify it?

What you have is a Singer machine made in 1941 in Elizabethport plant , Elizabeth , New Jersey . The finish is called Godzilla because it is a rough finish . You should be able to get a new belt for it at a sewing center that will work . These are good little machines . It will also do a tack stitch ( sew in reverse ) .

It's a Singer 66 - Singer called that finish 'crinkle' - collectors have named it 'Godzilla' :) looks to be in lovely condition. From a batch of 35,000 commissioned September 30 1941.
