Several months ago I came across two framed "mystery" items shown in photos. They are nicely framed and I found their ethnic/modern look appealing. Upon examination I concluded that they are hand made felt and appear to be representational symbols but I am at a loss as to their origin - possibilities range from original folk art/crafts to iconography of Tibet? In short - I'm utterly stumped....hopefully a viewer may recognize and share. The colors are muted but even more so under glass - each measures approximately 10" across at the widest point - also, in case not evident, the felt pieces are simply mounted against the matt background. I have not removed from the frames for closer examination. Thanks!

Are you sure about felt? It’s hard to tell from pictures but could they be handmade paper?

Actually you could be right. The only handmade paper I am familiar with is much thinner but now looking on line could well be! Thanks for the suggestion.
