Came across this unusual pitcher at a recent charity sale - initially I thought it was pottery but upon closer inspection I concluded it is glass, with a matt finish? Can't say I've ever seen anything like it? As is shown in the photos it is matt black grouond with rich blue interior and abstract, muli-colored decoration. I was unable to find any sort of marking. It measures about 9.5" tall. Welcome views. thanks

Thanks to some collectors on a glass forum this item has been identified as from Azerbaijan. Google "Azerbaijan glass" and think all will agree. Only remaining mystery - I have yet to see an example in black? but I'll keep looking. thanks to all.
