How exactly are they upside down? The calendar frame part should fit on the rack between the two pens, and you rotate it to see the photo.

The paper that the calendar is printed on is upside down, the month should fit in the small opening at the top but somewhere down the line somebody placed it upside down, and i don't know how to open it to flip it.

Ah I see—I have a similar one but the date is on the base and has a large screw to open it with. The photo side of the brass frame doesn't pop out from the rest does it? Seems like that would be the only possible opening...unless there is a slit or clipping mechanism on one of the narrow sides.

I managed to get a small piece of plastic in between the metal and get it opened. It must've been stuck after being closed for so many years. Thanks for your help!
