Picked up these two classic Barbies at a estate sale! Bottom of a foot says ‘Japan’. Maker mark on the back. I’m Not knowledgeable about Barbies, so I don’t know when these were made. Any suggestions on how to remove dirt / stains?

They were always so beautiful and beautifully dressed!
I’m curious about the faces: they both look like something shiny, maybe gelatinous, has been applied.
The redhead’s legs look like mine after I tried a bronzer ....lol.
Do you think the faces and legs were originally like that or were they modified by previous owners?
Is there something on the neck under that scarf?
I don’t know about cleaning - I hope you get answers here.

1960s Barbies a Bubble cut and a ponytail looks like about a #5 due to vinyl used
these both have have greasy face syndrome . It will keep coming back but a bit of alcohol wipe to dry it for awhile helps also can use a mild soap and the dust it with a bit of powder to dry it . You will need to do this every few months . You have to be careful cleaning faces so you don't remove any paint when cleaning . The legs have yellowed up to point I see . They are worth restoring .

Nice score on these vintage Barbies, the titian haired bubble cut one is very valuable and they are still such pretty dolls
