This is a piece I found helping a friend pack up her home. Is there a market for this item? Just looking for feedback on what if any demand there is as well as possibly advice on how to clean it without causing more wear or damage.
Well, in my opinion, there's not a big market if any at all, this is kind of the big elephant trunk that nobody wants, I see dozens of this type for sale every day and people can't give them away, there not very eye catching or attractive, not a trunk that is highly collectible. I have seen them turned into wine storage or some other usable storage, if you clean up or paint the outside you will not be hurting it as far as value, once again this is my opinion, I have been buying, selling, collecting and restoring trunks for about 10 years, hope this helps.
