This is a pitcher that I saw all the time growing up, but unfortunately had no curiosity about. Thus I have no history. The only marks are a stamp of a pitcher, with the word PEWTER, and the numbers 3439...
7" tall, inside diameter at the top, 4 1/2".....Any knowledge appreciated!

The answer to your puzzle is in the mark. In the pewter world it is called a "touch mark", not a makers mark. Research the pitcher with the word Pewter inside and your puzzle will be solved.
