This 22" x 27" oil on canvas was painted by Richard Alan Schmid in the 1950’s. My parents knew him back then as he lived nearby and Richard said he would be happy to paint an art work for my mom. Richard asked my mom what she wanted a picture of, she said "I would love a painting of the Sacred Heart." This painting has been a mainstay and inspiration in our parents house while my older brother, sister and I were growing up throughout the 60's & 70's & 80's. When my parents passed away it was handed down to me. The reason I am posting this is because it is early work of Richard’s that the public has never seen.
