My mother has this pink oval bowl that was passed to her by someone else. It's a small bowl. She would like to know more about it. It has no markings on it and it has what appears to be a daisy with leaves on both sides and both ends. The bottom is simply the pattern of octagon shaped circles and latice work shown in the picture, but no markings at all. It is pink and although it appears to be somewhat irredisent it really isn't. I was thinking it might be cut glass, but then I'm really not sure because I can't find this pattern on any cut glass. The daisey is not "colored" or etched in, it is plain smooth glass in it. We are just really at a loss for where else to look or what else to consider. I do believe it is an older piece, we just not sure of what. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks,

Sometimes this type of glass is a combination of pressed and cut, such as McKee's Innovation line. By the photos, your bowl appears to be completly moulded and dates from the 1920s when cut glass designs melded with the new vogue of transparent colored glass.
