I purchased 6 very old dolls at a flea market. The person I bought them from had no information about them. I have never seen dolls with such detail. I’ve searched online and can’t find any dolls like this. All of them have either wood or porcelain faces. These have cloth hand painted faces and no legs. I love them and was curious if someone could tell me how old they are or what they are
Hi these are wonderful display figures displaying the dress attire for that era and famous women of that era . In USA they had a organization called WPA . It put people to work . But my point was going to be they dressed doll figures in different era clothes and sent to schools to school students . Yours appear to be French also I don't read French so I maybe wrong on place or origin . But yes dressed and made for a display by local people in area . Wonderful treasures . I will try and find more since I am going on a strong speculation now .
