Hello I have just rediscovered these forks and wondering how old they might be, in terrible tarnished condition and I have not got round to cleaning them. Not sure if it’s worth it

Unless you need some silver plate forks I’d leave ‘em be.

Thanks vet , I used to collect alsorts of bit & bobs back in the day, I wouldn’t buy anything like this anymore, although these might look good clean as they seem very well made.

Very curious what the H•H and the backstamp mark represents. Can't seem to find those..

So..I found this..appears to be 1840s - 1859 Henry Holland (of Holland)? This appears to be the same marks, more research needed...

Oh thanks dav I’ve just seen that you found out who the maker might be, brilliant information, they are very old then, I didn’t think they would be that old , I think I’ve got spoons that go with them, I will check & see if I can find them in the box they was in.

Not sure, that's still a mystery..not even sure what to call it? Directional cross, cross, directional arrows?
