    Looks to me like this piece is missing something. It has a screw type bottom. I can't identify the metal, the time period, or imagine what it came off of. Any clues??

      This is a little easier..its a handle off a server..although not sure exactly. Might be able to narrow it down by the design..

      It could fascilatate lifting an object like a cakestand and also could be used on a drawer pull where there is a larger lip prodtruding which would make it easier to open using this.
