    Hello I’ve just rediscovered this large gemstone, I don’t think I ever posted this as just assumed it was onyx as that was the only stone I know that looks like this. It’s massive I’m guessing around 15ct, has no marks at all, still looks in perfect condition. 3cm in length 2.2cm wide, seems big for a ring

      Lovely stone could be black onyx or obsidian.....if you hold a light behind it and it looks a little opaque it is onyx...if it does not it is obsidian.

      Thanks leesa, I have never looked at obsidian before, even though I thought it was onyx you could be right
