      Hi, Murphda. :-)

I'm doubtful about this piece of flatware being a sauce spoon. It could be the picture, but the 'bowl' looks too flat.

Google Lens turned up a number of pieces described variously as a "jam spoon/jelly spade," or a "preserve spoon," etc.:

      https://www.etsy.com/listing/1605754951/silver-banded-jam-spoon-ornate-victorian

      https://www.etsy.com/listing/1752506158/antique-john-biggin-hallmarked-silver

Probably the most convincing one (because of the famous maker) is this Gorham piece:

      https://www.etsy.com/listing/726826954/sale-antique-gorham-sterling-silver

Because it's such a well known maker, replacements dot com has it, and describes it as an ice cream serving spoon:

      https://www.replacements.com/silver-gorham-silver-hindostanee-sterling-1878-ice-cream-serving-spoon-solid-bright-cut/p/47056851

My inclination is to go with the replacements dot com description.

Dunno about the hallmarks. Have you searched the silver hallmarks sites, e.g:
