I know this as i have seen a small write up before, I know it Hukin & Heath and it’s a Christopher Dresser Lilly leaf design.
Looking for more information on this tray, does anyone know more about this.

      Hi, JoWest. :-)

Interesting. There is at least one other here at Collectors Weekly Show & Tell:

      https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/167035-christopher-dresser-silver-plate-tray

Dresser appears to have designed other similar pieces, e.g.:

      https://www.thevintageentertainer.com/en-GB/barware/aesthetic-movement-oval-silver-plated-tray-by-dr-christopher-dresser/prod_10731

      https://www.antiquesboutique.com/antique-silver-plated-centrepieces/christopher-dresser-for-hukin/itm208405

      About Dresser:

      https://www.themagazineantiques.com/article/at-home-with-christopher-dresser/

That registration number (9285) seems worth investigating, but a quick search yielded nothing. Out of time at the moment. :-(

      Hi again, JoWest.

I noticed something different between your H&H Dresser lily pad tray, and the other one here on CW S&T.

The number on yours is "9285," and the number on the other is "5460."

To my eye, the two trays look like twins (other than the tarnish on the other one), so I'm at a loss to explain the different numbers.

It now seems unlikely that they're registration numbers. Neither does it seem likely that they're design numbers.

      Perhaps they're serial numbers?

This isn't quite the same decor; however, the number on the back is described as a registration number:

"A rare Victorian silver plated grape stand, naturalistically modelled in the form of a vine branch, set upon a heart shaped embossed dish, together with a pair of grape scissors, Circa 1880s. With stamp for Hukin & Heath to the base bearing registration mark 6527, this design is attributed to Dr Christopher Dresser for Hukin & Heath.

Hukin & Heath, founded in 1855, were renowned for their excellent silver and silver plated ware. Their Head of Design in 1878 was Dr Christopher Dresser and the Company used his designs until around 1900. "

Hukin & Heath was registered in more than one British city so perhaps the discrepancy between the number on yours and the one on the other near twin H&H Dr. Christopher Dresser lily pond tray here at CW S&T is the city of registry?:
