Silvertone 6 volt farm radio

This is a Silvertone radio designed for the farm, before there was 110 volt power on the farms.
It runs on a 6 volt battery,which would be the same as your 6 volt car battery.

Back then most cars were 6 volt,so you could use the battery for the radio
and when it went down in power put it in the car to charge it up.
On this radio I changed the capacitors and cleaned the controls.

I redid the cabinet in toned lacquer. The radio has the original knobs and grill cloth..
