Vintage oval gemstone

Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely stone and I was online looking at garnets and Ruby, I then saw this and wondered if it could possibly be a ruby, 5.25ct & looks great, I’ve had this tossed in a bag of suspected garnets and thought garnet’s was almost worthless, but on antiques roadshow the jewellery expert said they are highly regarded at the moment and views have changed, after reading up and looking more carefully at this stone I’m actually wondering if it’s a Ruby. Because I can see Red is that the hue I can see , this and last one look the same apart from the size
