Didn't think much of this until I found a 1990 dime on your website with similar markings to my 2000 dime. The comment that was left, for the other dime, was it was probably hammered. The two dimes have defects in the same areas (ten years apart). Could someone help me out here? Coincidence or rare?
I just posted this. While looking at the 2000 and 1990 dimes again, I realized that both dimes are punched off-center in the same place.
Those are just some random markings most likely made post mint. The dimes to be on lookout for are pre 1965 dimes or 1975 or 1983 and that’s about it in circulation right now.
