Here's a neat little tool that I found in a box lot, purchased at a local auction, back in 1978.
It's a marshmallow toasting machine from the 1940's or 1950's. It came with the electrical cord, a fork to hold the marshmallows, and an advertising print showing a group of people toasting marshmallows using the toaster that I have posted here.
It plugs into a 115-vac outlet to heat the coils of wire that do the toasting. Stamped on the side of the housing, is printed Bar-B-Q Marshmallow Toaster, and also the name "Campfire". This name is still popular as the Mfg. Co. that markets bags of marshmallows for public consumption.
Here is an interesting addition: My wife and I made a trip to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. back in 1990. As browsing through the isles of displays of the Museum of American History, there was a glass display case. To my surprise, there displayed, on a glass shelf, was the Campfire Marshmallow toaster like I found in 1978. Mine is in much better condition.
