    Nice old Bendix radio I have had since 1968. It works perfectly, however, I do not play it anymore because I do not want to burn out any tubes.

      Hi packrat-pl
      Those tubes are very tough. I would only worry about the capacitors....they are old and tend to dry out and give the radio a hum. If you get someone to recap it it'll play like new. I've recapped a few radios with the original tubes and the sets work fine.

      Thank you again REED for the info. I am quite fond of this radio. See the area around the off/on knob? That is from my grandmother turning it on and off while she was in the kitchen working. She bought it new and it sat on her refrigerator all those years.
