This is an interesting photo. I found this in a trunk that I bought at an Estate Sale.
This is what I believe it reads "Jerry Blayluck hanging at Gatenfort ?ctrh May 11, 1883." I have no idea where this took place, if anyone has in input on this. I researched hangings in 1800 but did not come up with much for Blayluck. I would like to know who this was and the history.
Jerry Blalock was hanged in Jacksonport, Arkansas, for the murder of Thomas Brandenburg, in November last. ..."

Thanks for comment ARBJason I am going to try to post better pictures but when I came across this I was so excited about sharing it I just put the first picture I took of it out there.
the best way to do pictures is to scan them; most printers have scan options that usually work pretty well.
I don't believe I properly thanked TallCakes for the info, I really appreciated it.....
