This was my Moms' Mothers. It just turned up and is pretty old. The only markings we can find is of a man with a thorny crown, no shirt - muscular, holding a mallet we think. The marking says 'Vulcan'. Also don't know what the handles are made of.
Let me know if you have any ideas.

These sets come up on ebay now and then -- I'd watch ebay for values - do an ebay search for "Vulcan coffee", then click the "save this search" link, and they will email you whenever there is a new item listed.

worthpoint.com has tracked them but you can't see the price unless you are a member -- here's the link to see how many worthpoint has archived -- http://www.google.com/search?um=1&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7DKUS_en&biw=1259&bih=628&q=worthpoint+vulcan+coffee+pot+OR+urn&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=iw#hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7DKUS_en&biw=1259&bih=628&q=+site:worthpoint.com+worthpoint+vulcan+coffee+pot+OR+urn&sa=X&ei=uvjJTMKaN4u1ngfd7oHsDw&ved=0CAIQqAQwAw&fp=c096fadce09e306f

    Vulcan Mythology
Vulcan is the Roman and Greek god of fire and the forge, and mythical inventor of smithing and metal working. His Greek equivalent is Hephaestus. His forges were under Mount Aetna on the island of Sicily. He was smith, architect, armorer, chariot builder and artist of all work in Olympus--dwelling place of the gods.

Vulcan is the son of Jupiter (Zeus) and Juno (Hera), husband of Venus (Aphrodite) and is considered to be one of the twelve Olympians. With the help of Cyclops, the one-eyed giant, he made the thunderbolts of Zeus, the weapons of Hercules, and the armor of Achilles. Vulcan is symbolic of the metal industry.
