    That the colour flakes when touching.

    Said to be civil, as grand-fathers said.

    But can't remember which side?

    Spanish... I remember now, but was older than civil?

      It looks later than CW era.

      What is the buckle made out of?

      Any markings on the buckle or leather?

      CW era would be brass, while this looks like something else.
