This devise looks like a regular beater style drill, but does not have a drill chuck on the head and it is designed to clamp to a table. I'm not sure of it's intended use. It does not have any brand markings or date.
I'm always intrigued by anything mechanical, are there wear marks on the square piece on top, or marks from a set screw? It definitely drove something has me stumped though.
scottscuff, what makes you think it was used to corrugate strips of metal?
Could we see it from another angle?
Walksoftly, there are no wear marks or set screw marks on the square piece at the top.
Scotscuff, the topmost piece and the small cog are solidly connected by a shaft running through the casing.

Scottscuff, the only problem I see with that idea is the clamp at the bottom of the device is designed to attach to a table or work bench. This would place the "mixer" upside down.?

Thanks for solving the mystery rocker-sd! Now to find the juicer attachment and complete the unit.
I still think I could make it drive something with a flexible drive shaft, who needs juice. :)
Walksoftly, I would have to agree. I've been searching the web for images of one of these units that is complete. Other than the photo Rocker-sd found, I haven't found anything. Quite a mystery and seemingly rather rare.
I'm still baffled by how this thing works. What kind of container goes onto the top square? How does it keep the juice from running all over the crank? The one ebay photo seems to be the only one around of its kind. The more I look at it the more I feel I'm missing something.
Should it have some kind of grinding device or a hopper of some kind?
When you turn the crank is the handle above or below the square drive?
it is almost level with the top of the square drive....maybe a 1/4" below.
This thing is designed to operate at a high RPM with that gear ratio, & your hand has to clear whatever sits on top.
Sounds like a great idea.....maybe it was the first "powered" toothbrush! lol

This round goes to rocker-sd, that looks like a handy thing to have if you have a bag of oranges/lemons to juice. So much fun you could talk your kids into doing it for you.
Damn OCD kept me looking for hours till I couldn't see straight, should have gone & had a Tequila Sunrise.
