Got an old Nutcracker, made of some sort of metal. The device winds down towards the bottom(see pictures 2-1) to crack the nut, providing a small pocket for the material to break into. The initials on the back read "HMQ" which is you search google images will show the popular nutcracker model we've all seen before.

The design was actually patented by Quackenbush in 1915 but this is the 1930s version with the straight bar handle. The nutcracker measures 6 inches long if the handle is fully extended and the oval nut cup measures 3.5 inches high by 2 inches wide. The H M Quackenbush logo is i=on the back and the nutcracker is in excellent condition..."
