Found this treasure at a yard sale. Trying to get more info as to date etc. I can find Shelby bikes on the internet but not this specific one. It has metal/wood wheels, new departure D brake arm, the serial # on it is F48457 stamped into the frame. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking mid 1920s... I'd say that the model D New Departure hub isn't original to the bike. They came out in 1933... Here's a link on Shelby's history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelby_Cycle_Company
