My sister received this piece for a wedding gift because she is a seemstress professionally and as a hobbie so it was the perfect heirloom type gift for a lady like herself. I cant find much information on a value for the model inside of a table...and next to none about the specific table it is in or even much that is similar. It is in good condition aestetically however it does have obvious age and wear (a few light small scratchs etc.) but not discolored even though the picture makes it appear that way but it was a smudge from the dust rag I had been cleaning with earlier and I didn't see it until the picture was already loaded. Mechanically it works great especially for the model and the age and only needs the needle replaced to be in running order (I already have the replacement needles for the machine)...I researched what I could about it but I have three kids and not much time to pour throw hundreds of websites before I find one that may give me some more specific information about it. She is interested in selling it but not because she doesn't love the piece. If you can help me out with any information about the table and sewing machine I would really appreciate it. Thank you, Tiffany

I appreciate your advice and I will definitely check into your suggestions however I have already looked around a lot of ebay and have had a hard time finding both machine and table that are comparable to determine an estimated value. And she is very sad to see it go but money is tight and so is space in her new home and so she made the hard choice to look into selling it. I have personally fallen in love with it on a purely aestetic level and would probably even consider buying it from her in order to keep it in our family. Thank you so much for your help

the 301 is a well regarded machine and you shouldn't have any trouble selling it. Part of the popularity of the 301 is that it's a lightweight machine for a full size vintage - so the portable model is desirable for quilters etc.
I don't know if it's a 1951 - I would have expected it to have a centennial badge if it was? The serial number would be under the machine.
