      The patches with the "A" are shoulder patches for the US First Army. The one with the eagle is the rank insignia for Specialist 7. That was a rank insignia for someone who worked at the same pay grade as a Sergeant First Class, but did not have supervisory authority outside of his specialty. That rank ceased to exist after 1978. The insignia is beside it is upside-down. It's the rank insignia for a Sergeant First Class. I would guess all these patches came from the 1960s or 70s.
