This WWII Japanese Banner Was given to me by Marvin, a WWII US Navy veteran, I changed oil for him at work, and noticed his vet plates. I thanked him for protecting my freedom. We talked for awhile. About a month later I ran into him at Mcdonalds, Eating alone I sat down and had lunch with him. I Gave him my Name, Number and Address.

This showed up at my house today.

He has some other items, A Jap flag off Okinawa, Some coins from Hiroshima, Some Japanese paper currency etc.

It has a decorative dressing around the edges of the flag, Seems to be a souvenir item purchased from a shop or something in Japan.

Oh! Its genuine WWII Era, I think he got in while in the Japanese mainland. This is probly something a family would have hanging in there house, or window. I'll ask him.

I called him tonight, He doesn't remember where he got the flag, He said most likely in Japan from a shop. The coins he has from Hiroshima, They are fused together, From the blast. What a piece of history!
