    This is an original US military boonie hat that was used in the gulf war . It is a "Hot, Sun, Hot Weather Type II" hat. It has it's label on the inside as well as "C-6602" written on it. MIL-SPEC-H-43577.

      It is hard to believe that was over 20 years ago!

      I still have mine, but it is significantly more sweat stained.
