    These 2 paintings are done by Heinr. Schafer. The name sounds German, but I've been unable to find any information on a Heinr Schafer. However I did find a few paintings by a Heinrich Hermann Schafer (1815-1884), but the signature didn't look the same.

      This looks like the pics somebody posted about a month ago (sans towers) of a large gun implacement in S. Spain(?). If not, a real coincidence.
