I don't think this is real gold, because there are no markings anywhere on the piece, but I liked it alot :) My mom bought it at a little roadside stand for $3.50 after I did some haggling (with the sales lady, not mom). I don't know anything about it other than that!

It is a beautiful piece of Damascene toledo - not real gold, but lots are 24kt plated where etched. Name of pattern is "Bird of Paradise Flower" Wonderful find!!
Actually, the front is inlaid Damascene with genuine 18k green gold and 24k yellow and the back and filigree is 18k heavy gold plate overlay. Worth more than you think, $80-100+. You got a great deal and it is beautiful!
Spectacular, thanks for the info! I just thought it was beautiful! I have a small necklace that is similar. The gold is wearing if the back a bit on it, though. I guess skin contact is tough on gold plate!
