Just picked up this nice vintage maple stool today. It was made in 1952 at the Maine State Prison in Thomaston. Approx. 16" - 18" tall.

Any information in regards to its history and collectibility would be greatly appreciated.

How nice that it is so clearly documented. Did you know that it is a milking stool?

I knew I had seen that design before. For the men milkers, right?

I did not know for sure if it was a milking stool or not. Thanks MawamaMama and blunderbuss2!
