I am trying to find out as much as i can regarding this camera stand that i have . I am looking for what it was used for ; how old it is and the type of value of the stand . I have tride other websites for information with no luck or help . The stand is rearly heavy ' made of solid brass and metal and the parts are very well made plus all the movements up down left and right of the camera head are very precise. I Believe it was used for static shots where the camera is locked of so as it cannot be moved . I would rearly be grateful for any help regarding this stand thanks bigger @ blldraper@gmail.com

Can't sear that I'm right, but the head on this monster looks very much like those I've seen on photos of Saltzman tripods and studio stands which I think were made from the forties into the sixties. You might Google that name and see what comes up.
