Old Block and Tackle

This is an old block and tackle used in a barn as a part of a hay trolley system to move large amounts of hay. It was most likely used in a midwestern barn because that the region I got it from. This is definitely considered primitive art, mainly because of its simple utilitarian nature in transporting hay. It representative of the type of Americana that the midwest has to offer. I love these things and I plan on collecting more of them, they have tons of character and they're real, unique and handmade.
