I just picked up this old ww1 marked ZC194 ...Any help on an ID would be great like the year it was made etc ...Thanks

    I am no expert, however these are my thoughts. Possibly a helmet from 104th Infantry Regiment, insignia on the front is very similar. Z codes denote American made helmets. I think you will find it is ZC. This and the number relate to manufacturer and heat stamping codes used to track steel lots. Although I have been unable to find any documentation re the manufacturer, ZC is possibly Columbian Enamaling and Stamping Company? but not sure. Probably made between 1917 and 1920. More likely 1917. Nice complete helmet.
