My family has collected many lovely wood carvings through the years, many of which are unsigned or salvaged from buildings and furniture. I know its almost impossible to identify most of them, but it doesn't hurt to try. The carvings of the greyhound and fox I feel are possibly from the 1920s. The two lion carvings are salvaged wood out of a home. I have to say the fox is my personal favorite. Most examples of wood carved foxes depict them as fierce looking, he has a sweet serene look of basking in the sun:)

Oh wow, it just keeps getting better! I love all of these, the lion and fox are fantastic but the greyhound took my breath away.
