Found just the right material to recover my Sven Madsen chair. It's not leather but a very nice piece of faux leather at 50% off. Exactly what would have been there originally (black vinyl) according to pictures and descriptions I've seen. So.... four bucks for the chair plus two dollars for the material and I already had the glue (no tacks this time !) from the cars headliner and a bit of Old English polish. Not a hard job at all. A six dollar investment becomes a seventy five to a hundred dollar chair give or take a few for condition flaws. If you're looking to complete a set this would do nicely. But, of course it's not for sale. -Mike-

Thank you. I should have taken the "before" picture before I removed the old upholstery. Wasn't thinking in my excitement. But that is the original wood base and it is stamped as well.
They look terrific! It's amazing what a little elbow grease can go.
