Vintage Napier (bird of paradise?)

This is a signed Napier brooch found at an estate. I'm trying to find out the approximate age (mid century perhaps?) and what it might be called (bird of paradise?). The metal is gold tone and the bird's feathers and body are plastic with a large white rhinestone eye. It's a great fun piece in nice condition and I'd just love to find out more info. I haven't been able to find a similar one online yet. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
