I need help! Apparently it's 1800s it's been passed through my family for generations and now I have it I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me anything at all about it possibly where it's come from and when? And if anyone can tell me if its worth anything. Thank you

I don't think it's as old as you think (plywood, chain, hindges) Maybe from England. Usually used near a fireplace for newspaper/kindling. I have an English waste bin like this. 40's-60's is my guess.

No problem. Old Victorian Coal bins, which this is coping would show wear from use. Great piece, use it and enjoy it.
