I have this same mask! It was just donated to my library. I was told it was purchased in Africa in the 1950's. That's all I know. I wish I knew more.

They are made in africa still today for people to buy.The ones you have are fairly new though there are some old ones out there that are worth some money, yours are very nice and done very well though.I would keep them,You got a bargin in them as they are worth if I remember right arount $30.00 plus relail, but check it on your pc under african woodcarved mask, and it will tell you they are there...

thanks Jedman1 and novelone! since posting this, i got a great big one - about 3 ft tall. for some reason, i always thought they were south pacific. i have quite a few African masks, but i thought these ones were from Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillipines or somewhere in that area. any idea where in Africa they might be from?
