I started collecting 78's nearly 20 years ago. That was shortly after I first heard a compilation of depression era Country Blues on a compilation CD. For some reason, I had to get my hands on the real artifact and learn more about the artists who sang, played and lived the blues so many years ago. That was before I was married and had kids. There was plenty of time to visit garage sales, flea markets and estate sales. I still get out to hunt records, though not as often as I did back when I was in my 20's. There is such a rich history and aprciation for jazz and blues in Saint Louis. Good stfuff is always bound to turn up. Though the vast majority of records I come across are not very desirable (to me), the thrill of the hunt makes collecting these gems very enjoyable. Every time I think that all of the good records have been collected or discarded, another great disc seems to turn up.

Most that you find aren't desirable on the market either. You picked a good genre
