I am crazy about vintage glassware, especially Fenton and Northwood, but anything interesting will do the trick, including jars and bottles. I also enjoy finding vintage and antique furniture for my 1927 home. Nearly all my finds come from thrift stores, garage sales, flea markets, and even the curb! I enjoy researching the pieces I find. Since I have a small house, I sometimes sell some pieces on eBay. (Read more)

  1. Thanks for the story, Bob. Moms are funny about stuff like that, aren't they? I'm glad you confirmed about the parchment shade. Last night I came across a dealer display photo from the same year this ...
  2. Thanks for the love and the comment LOUMANAL:) I think it was a steal, too. Now I just need to order a chimney and get to work!
  3. Thanks AGH and Moonstone for the love!!!

  8. Great display! And I see some Fenton in there, too:)
  9. Wow, Aimathena, just WOW!!! Stunning. I saw a Nippon book at half-priced books that really intrigued me, but I walked away because I figured it would only lead to trouble, lol. I may need to go back f...
  10. Cool, Aimathena! I just got those at the Salvation Army, almost didn't buy them but glad I did. Any clue who made them? Depression glass is not my area of expertise.
  11. Thanks Aimathena:) Actually, its a thick foam-like wallpaper that you then paint any color. When we bought our little 1927 foreclosure house, the kitchen was covered in this awful tile board. When I w...
  12. Beautiful glass and such a stunning display! Makes me wish my house wasn't so tiny so I could have a large cabinet like that instead of just my small curio.
  13. These are lovely, and so nice to have a matching grouping! I especially love the powder jar (or maybe it's a candy dish).
  14. Amazing piece!!!
  15. Love that yellow fan vase in the first pic!!!
  16. Stunning! And don't worry, the glow is overrated;)
  17. Stunning! Is it made from glass? I'm in love!
  18. Weirdpuckett, thank you so much!!! Sure enough, that's the pattern. Many of the pieces on that site had no image, so I wasn't able to find the exact piece. A quick search on eBay told me the bottom of...
  19. Congrats on your basket, AmberRose! You should post it for us. I know Rocky River, actually had my graduation ceremony there at the sister school of the cosmetology school I went to. Small world! I'm ...
  20. Mike, well hello there neighbor! I am in Wickliffe, about 20 minutes east of Cleveland.
  21. What a fantastic image on that plate, it makes me feel as if I could float in space with them. The convo about thrifting illnesses cracked me up. I have two strange items hidden in the back seat floor...
  22. Thanks, AmberRose. I couldn't take a whole housefull of this furniture, but its a fun accent piece. Luckily the color worked for me, otherwise I would have left it behind regardless of the price and c...
  23. She's kind of "sassy" isn't she? Very charming piece.
  24. Just lovely! Ahh, thrift store remorse... I know that malady well.
  25. So pretty:) And if you like something, it can never be a dud!
  26. So true, Mike!!! :)
  27. Thanks, Mike! I believe Brody and Napco are from my neck of the woods. I see those pieces by the dozens daily here in NE Ohio. I have to disagree about not finding good pieces at thrifts. I have found...
  28. Thanks for your comment, Mike. Already tried the image search and eBay, no dice. Usually I am pretty good at tracking an item down or at least another piece with the same pattern. Not this time, thoug...
  29. Thanks, Mike! I know what you mean. Our house is only 768 square feet, so anything I bring home I'd better either love or have purchased with the intention of reselling. I look through my glassware e...
  30. Wow, that's excellent info, thank you. My research on the stamp itself only lead to people collecting those stamps themselves, but nothing about the stamp other than the obvious already printed on the...
  31. Hi, aghcollect, and thanks for your love it. Yes, its a lightish blue stamp, roughly these size as a postage stamp, and has the Ohio seal on it, two cent in all four converts, and says "State of Ohio ...
  32. Well, PhilDavid, I find it desirable, and I guess that's all that really matters.
  33. Wow.... just wow. Love it! Congrats on a great find!
  34. Sorry about the quality of pics, but my phone camera is lousy and I'm a shaky picture-taker. Its the best I can do right now.
  35. AmberRose, I posted the powder jar, as well as this amazing vintage chair I bought recently. But, since I'm new at this site and mobile, I'm not sure how to link them here. But I'm sure you're savvy e...
  36. AmberRose, that butterfly was stunning!!! Marilyn Wagner is one of the more well known painters, too. Okay, I'm going to journey down to the basement right now and get that powder jar. It's snowing he...
  37. Thanks again, AmberRose! That vase is actually one of my newer pieces I bought off eBay. I don't buy much on there because the cost of shipping negates any bargain, but I had to have it. According my ...
  38. Hi Mackay1st! Thanks for your complement. One of my first loves is milk glass, but when I found some colored pieces, my attention kind of swayed to that. Regardless, I can't leave a decent piece for a...
  39. Thanks for the insight, AmberRose! Strangely enough, in all my treasure hunting, I have never happened across a Fenton bird, or even a butterfly, or any figurines at all. Even bells seem to be scarce....
  40. Wow, those are stunning!!!
  41. Thanks for the comment;) I plan on posting a lot more pics. Just started on this site and am already loving it! I read your profile, and your thrifting habits sound just like mine. Do you find a lot o...
