I bought this in an old shipping Museum in Chinderah NSW for our Sons coffee shop in Brisbane to use as a tipping container.
It is made from brass with a silver overlay,has since nearly all worn away, but, the inside layer of silver, is still in tact .
There is a lion engraved on either side just under the top lip, in top condition with a handle on each of these 2 lion heads & engraved small flowers surrounding, under the lip.
There is no date or name unscripted?
It seems it once would have had a stand & a perhaps a lid?
The tap works well & has an ivory piece wrapped around it.
Does anyone know anything about this piece?
