  1. Thanks very much Ivan. Much appreciated. Mystery solved.
  2. Thanks Kimmik & Ivan. I figured it was Birmingham, it is more the maker I am trying to work out. The script looks like J.T to me. I had put TJ before (now corrected - I just can't type) Maybe it i...
  3. Even if not the real deal, it would definitely be a keeper for me...
  4. I kept thinking I had seen one before, now I know. I is a lumber or timber gauge scale rule' Cheers
  5. If you do a search for "COLT PEACEMAKER TWO BLADE KNIFE" with the quotation marks there is a reference to one of these. That's all I could find. It sure is cool, I keep coming back to your pics.
  6. It does look very cool, unfortunately I can't tell you more about it. I wish I had uncovered it recently...:)
  7. Don't know for what, but it would look great on the wall above my workbench...:)
  8. No, I don't think so Karl.
  9. I would definitely Inuit and not plastic. But whether bone or tusk I am not sure.
  10. You may be right Uncle Ron, sounds plausible anyway. I'll reword the post...
  11. I can't see anything above Germany. The only markings I see are the following... Germany ...
  12. It's reminiscent of a Circa 1917 New Haven Bingham model but not exact though I would expect it to be of that era maybe.
  13. Thanks very much. I'll clean off the back of the head. Now I just have to work out the country the clothes represent and whether either of the hats (maybe sombreros) actually belong to it. I have o...
  14. HOPEFULLY THESE PICS WILL HELP?
  15. More pics might help, preferably upright :) Close-ups of the dial & movement.
  16. I have a few more pictures of the back that may be of help but can't add them.
  17. IT MAY NOT BE AN 'H' AT THE BEGINNING IN THE MIDDLE AT THE BOTTOM IT MIGHT BE 11 INSTEAD OF U, BEFORE THE /
  18. I ADDED PICS OF THE BACK OF THE HEAD IT'S HARD TO MAKE OUT WHAT IT SAYS, BUT I'LL HAVE A GO.... 94 maybe at the top? HERMCI maybe in the middle R then U with a backslash / then some symbol here, ...
  19. Thanks very much! Cheers!
  20. I added pics of the back of the head.
  21. Cheers Manikin! I've got a few other dolls posted I am trying to identify.
  22. No patent number that I can find. I have spent hours searching the internet but can find nothing similar.
  23. Cheers Slackjack, you nailed it. Can't say I ever heard of them before. RRP
  24. Cheers I am sure I have seen this logo before...
  25. I found no info under the dial
  26. THANKS FOR THE INPUT - I'M THINKING IT IS REPRESENTATIVE OF A PARTICULAR HISTORICAL FIGURE FROM INDIA AND WOULD LIKE TO WORK OUT WHO, WHAT, WHERE & WHEN. I KNOW IT IS VERY OLD, MAYBE 100'S OF YEARS BU...
  27. I would think so... looks like a KW/KS to me. (Key wind & key set) Only 4 rubies I think there is a 4 pic limit so maybe change one of the last 2 pics for one of the movement.
  28. ANYBODY RECOGNIZE THE TYPE OR STYLE?
  29. I thought of spears but couldn't work out why a set of such similar tips?
  30. It's French. If you undo the nut on the bell & remove the bell you will very likely see some information on the back of the movement such as the maker's name or logo.
  31. HOW ABOUT A PIC OF CASE BACK AND MOVEMENT, THAT WOULD HELP
  32. The 3 upper left I am not sure of but the rest are definitely fobs, I have a couple similar ones.
  33. Need a few more pics?
  34. All I can say is WOW!
  35. I agree with Efesgirl, Rotate it 90 degrees to the right and I'd say it was a tufted puffin.
  36. A few more pics?
  37. Wish I could help. I have a few similar to it of the same age, but am not familiar with yours.
  38. It is a Model 1883 Waltham 7 jewel 18s (size 18) circa 1912.
  39. bring up your post, look on the left side you should see edit this item just under a blue banner with a white cross saying Add to your collection
  40. bring up your post, look on the left side you should see edit.
  41. Maybe replace the third pic with the movement pic.
  42. A good pic of the movement would help solve that.
  43. I didn't really want to polish it, but I'm pretty sure it is GB as it doesn't fit in with the rest of the engraving. I just can't get it to show up well in a pic. The B is quite worn on the right side.
  44. I just read your remarks Efesgirl, thanks. Just took a look under a magnifier... It says ITALY below PROTECT US. And below the "house" on the other side I think it might be the initials GB
  45. I THINK YOU'LL FIND IT IS A VIKING SHIP AND MADE IN NORWAY. CHEERS
  46. Hi, Thanks for the reply. I know it is a St Christopher's medallion, Patron Saint of Travellers I am try to work out it's age and maybe whence it came given the script on the front with Cristophorvs
  47. It looks very much like the logo of Hänni & Cie (established 1900) or Russbach-Hänni & Cie (as they became in 1921-23). With that stem, might have been a high end car/automobile clock. Regards, Rod...
  48. Thanks very much. Yes that turns up some similar shade styles for sure! I am hoping to find a suitable list of electric lamp manufacturers as based on what is still visible of the label, I am fair...
  49. If you look at the picture of the back, there is a lip on the edge to the right of the crown. This is where the case back would be pried off. You need to use a sharp knife to pry it open, not one wi...
  50. Looks neat. An early conversion from pocket watch to wristwatch. Does it work? You should wear it if it does! I would wear it oce in a while just for a conversation piece. :)
